Graduate Modern Accountant

About the role

A tech-forward accounting firm in Islamabad is looking for a Graduate Modern Accountant. The role combines core accounting and compliance with the use of modern tools and automation to streamline operations. It is a 100% on-site position in DHA Phase-1 Islamabad, with no remote work available.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end bookkeeping for a diverse client portfolio using Xero, QuickBooks and similar software
• Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS) and other statutory filings, and perform detailed account reconciliations
• Prepare work papers, financial statements and year-end reports, and prepare tax returns for individuals, sole traders, partnerships, companies and trusts
• Conduct tax research and advise clients accurately and in compliance
• Manage client relationships and workflows in the CRM, maintain data integrity through a proprietary mobile app, and design digital forms to streamline data collection
• Respond to client data submitted through online platforms and prepare advisory reports such as benchmarking and performance analysis
• Maintain secure client files in Google Drive and take part in virtual client meetings

Required profile

• 1-2 years of tax and accounting experience (essential)
• Strong written and verbal English for reporting and client documents
• Proven hands-on experience with Xero and QuickBooks
• Strong tax research skills and a solid understanding of Australian tax principles
• Ability to quickly learn new software (CRM, tax planning, advisory tools)
• Experience creating or managing digital forms and familiarity with CRM principles
