Finance Manager (CA Finalist)

About the role

A full-time Finance Manager position based in Islamabad is open to a detail-oriented professional with at least five years of relevant experience and a CA Finalist qualification. The role covers financial reporting, accounting operations and financial controls, and experience with a UK-based accounting or outsourcing firm is highly preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and finalise financial statements, including the balance sheet, profit and loss statement and cash flow statement.
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and keep financial records accurate and complete.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Perform bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger reviews.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial reporting requirements and internal policies.
• Review financial data, identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and financial analysis.
• Coordinate with clients, auditors and other stakeholders on financial information and reporting.
• Maintain proper documentation and support UK accounting and reporting assignments where applicable.

Required profile

• CA Finalist qualification.
• Minimum five years of relevant finance and accounting experience.
• Ability to prepare complete financial statements independently.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations and closing procedures.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills, with strong written and verbal communication.
• Attention to detail, independence, ownership, time management and client-handling skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Preferred: familiarity with UK accounting practices, FRS 102, FRS 105 and UK statutory accounts; experience with Xero, QuickBooks or Sage; exposure to client management, audit support and year-end account preparation.
