Group Head of Internal Audit (Manufacturing)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Group Head of Internal Audit to lead the internal audit function of a well‑established manufacturing organisation. Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Board Audit Committee, you will provide independent assurance over governance, risk management, internal controls and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an annual risk‑based internal audit plan covering finance, operations, procurement, supply chain, inventory and IT.
• Lead and oversee audits, present findings, monitor corrective actions and strengthen internal controls.
• Enhance governance frameworks, support enterprise risk management and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Conduct fraud investigations, whistleblower reviews and special assignments.
• Review business processes, recommend improvements and leverage technology and data analytics to boost audit effectiveness.
• Build trusted relationships with senior leadership, external auditors, regulators and the Board while maintaining audit independence.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing internal audit team, setting performance objectives and fostering a culture of integrity.

Required profile

• CA, ACCA, ACMA or CIA qualification (MBA/Master’s preferred).
• 15+ years of progressive experience in internal audit, risk management, governance or compliance, with at least 5 years leading an internal audit function.
• Background in manufacturing, textile, FMCG or similarly complex organisations.

Required skills

• Strong expertise in internal audit, enterprise risk management, corporate governance and fraud risk management.
• Working knowledge of SAP, Oracle or other ERP systems.
• Proficiency with data analytics and audit reporting tools.
