Head of IT & Infrastructure

About the role

The Head of IT & Infrastructure will own the design, resilience and performance of the organisation’s technology platform across data‑centre, virtualised, containerised and cloud environments. This is a hands‑on leadership position that ensures uninterrupted, regulator‑compliant services while supporting rapid business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain end‑to‑end infrastructure architecture, documenting current‑state and target‑state designs.
• Evaluate existing infrastructure, identify single points of failure and drive a modernisation roadmap within regulatory constraints.
• Make workload‑by‑workload cloud‑versus‑on‑premise decisions based on cost, latency, data residency and risk.
• Own capacity planning and performance tuning for critical databases such as Vertica MPP.
• Guarantee service availability, set SLA targets, monitor uptime and provide on‑call support.
• Design, build and regularly test business continuity and disaster recovery solutions with defined RPO/RTO.
• Lead change and release management to minimise client‑facing disruption.
• Collaborate with product, engineering and data science teams to provision infrastructure for new B2B and B2C services.
• Negotiate with vendors, manage contracts, licensing and optimise total cost of ownership.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and support internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in IT infrastructure management.
• Hands‑on technical credibility with a track record of delivering large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Deep understanding of regulatory environments and data‑residency obligations.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with excellent communication skills.
