HR Generalist – Payroll & Workforce Planning

About the role

The HR Generalist will support payroll processing, workforce planning, budgeting and HR system administration. The role ensures accurate payroll, compliance with policies and regulations, and provides data-driven insights for management decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end monthly payroll cycle, including preparation, validation, reconciliation and timely salary processing.
• Coordinate payroll‑related transactions such as attendance, leave, overtime, allowances, deductions, loans, gratuity and end‑of‑service benefits.
• Support annual HR and manpower budgeting, consolidating headcount requirements and preparing cost projections.
• Monitor payroll and workforce costs against budgets, produce variance reports and partner with line managers to investigate discrepancies.
• Lead manpower planning exercises, track headcount, vacancies and recruitment progress.
• Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures and system documentation, ensuring compliance with labor laws.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 6‑8 years of progressive HR experience covering payroll, compensation, manpower planning and HR operations.
• Professional HR certification (CIPD, SHRM, PHR) preferred.
• Fluent in English and local languages.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems.
• Familiarity with applicant‑tracking systems and employee self‑service platforms.
