HSE Officer – Port Qasim Plant

About the role

National Foods Limited is seeking an HSE professional to lead health, safety and environment activities at its Port Qasim plant in Karachi. The role ensures compliance with internal policies and external regulations while fostering a safe workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections to verify compliance with HSE regulations and standards.
• Identify workplace hazards, recommend preventive measures, and report findings to the Plant Manager.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and operations teams to address quality‑related safety issues and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor, investigate and report safety incidents, ensuring corrective actions are applied.
• Deliver HSE inductions for new employees and run workshops on policies and procedures.
• Maintain and test emergency response plans, organize drills and ensure employee readiness.
• Oversee provision and maintenance of PPE, first‑aid kits, fire extinguishers and other safety equipment.
• Keep comprehensive records of HSE activities and report to the HSE Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• 4–6 years of experience in health, safety and environment roles, preferably in an industrial setting.
• Familiarity with local and international HSE legislation.
