Human Resources Specialist

About the role

The Human Resources Specialist will act as a key HR partner for designated business units at Aga Khan University. Reporting to the Senior Manager, HR, the role supports talent acquisition, onboarding, employee lifecycle management, HR reporting and analytics, and the delivery of HR services in line with institutional policies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment activities in line with approved policies and workforce plans.
• Coordinate with hiring managers on sourcing, screening, interviews and selection decisions.
• Facilitate pre‑employment formalities, offer management and onboarding, orientation and induction for new hires.
• Ensure completion of all pre‑joining and post‑joining requirements and maintain accurate HRMS data.
• Liaise with relevant departments to ensure seamless employee integration and timely issuance of employment‑related letters and documents.
• Coordinate appointments, promotions, transfers, compensation changes, job status changes and post‑retirement cases.
• Conduct exit interviews, analyse feedback, identify trends and share insights for action planning.
• Review HR dashboards and workforce metrics such as headcount.
