Instrumentation & Electrical Specialist/Engineer

About the role

The Instrumentation & Electrical Specialist/Engineer will design, implement, and maintain the instrument and electrical systems for the plant. This role ensures the reliability of process control systems, networks, and all related infrastructure while adhering to safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Scope, design, and implement instrument and electrical elements of projects end‑to‑end.
• Maintain process control systems, process control networks, instrumentation, and electrical infrastructure.
• Maintain all documentation associated with electrical, instrumentation, automation, and communication networks.
• Apply applicable safety, quality, engineering, environmental, and energy‑efficiency standards and best practices.
• Monitor performance KPIs for assets, analyse data and devise continuous‑improvement action plans.
• Balance work between in‑house workforce and contractors to execute maintenance activities effectively.
• Review technical problems, provide direction, and actively resolve operational issues.
• Own high‑risk contractor portfolios in the I&E space and support 100% process safety compliance.
• Train technical personnel, both in‑house and contractors, to improve maintenance efficiency and effectiveness.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of field experience, preferably in Oil & Gas or manufacturing.
• Degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience with Yokogawa DCS and Foundation Fieldbus instrumentation is an advantage.
