Inventory Officer (Odoo ERP)

About the role

ESCO, a security and communication systems partner of brands such as Hikvision, EZVIZ and Bosch, is hiring an Inventory Officer to own inventory accuracy in its Odoo ERP. The role is analytical and investigative: tracking stock movements, finding discrepancies between physical and system quantities, tracing transaction history and flagging problems early. It offers hands-on ERP experience across the procure-to-stock cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Record and monitor daily inventory transactions in Odoo: receipts, deliveries, transfers, adjustments and returns
• Reconcile physical stock counts with system quantities and investigate every variance to root cause
• Trace stock movement history to find errors, mis-postings or unauthorized movements
• Match purchase orders, vendor bills and goods receipts, flagging mismatches in quantity, pricing or documentation
• Reconcile stock entries with the accounting ledger and support stock valuation accuracy
• Maintain serial number and warranty tracking where applicable
• Run cycle counts, support periodic physical stock audits and report on slow-moving, damaged and obsolete stock
• Run compliance checks on inventory and financial control policies and give weekly reports on discrepancies and corrective actions
• Support import and sales-related stock transactions

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business or a related field
• Analytical mindset: able to trace a problem back through records
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Able to work independently, follow up persistently and communicate findings clearly
• Willingness to spend time in the warehouse, not only at a desk
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; finance background is desirable but analytical ability and precision matter most

Required skills

• Strong Excel skills, comfortable with large data sets and reconciliations
• Familiarity with ERP systems (Odoo experience is an advantage, but training is provided)
