Junior Engineer – Hydropower Projects

About the role

SMEC is looking for a Junior Engineer to support its hydropower project in KPK, Pakistan. The role involves assisting senior engineers with civil engineering tasks across planning, design, construction supervision, estimation, scheduling and progress monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in planning, designing and executing civil works for the hydropower project.
• Support site supervision, monitor construction activities against approved drawings and specifications.
• Perform quantity take‑offs, measurements, estimation, costing and project reporting.
• Help with project scheduling, progress tracking and preparation of site reports.
• Review drawings and technical documents, resolve site‑related issues and conduct site inspections.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure smooth execution of civil works.

Required profile

• B.Sc./B.E. in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in civil engineering, preferably in hydropower, dams or major infrastructure projects.
• Experience in site supervision, construction monitoring, estimation or project coordination.
• Good understanding of civil engineering drawings, specifications and construction practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
