Learning & Development Manager

About the role

The Learning & Development Manager will lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of training programs across all bank functions. This role partners closely with business leaders to translate performance gaps into effective learning solutions that support the bank’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct structured training needs analyses for business, operations, risk, compliance, credit, digital and branch banking.
• Identify capability gaps with department heads and prioritize interventions.
• Design and develop learning modules, facilitator guides, assessments, case studies, simulations, role‑plays and digital content.
• Deliver classroom, virtual, blended and on‑the‑job sessions covering leadership, sales, customer service, credit discipline, regulatory compliance and more.
• Manage mandatory regulatory, AML/CFT, information security and policy‑based trainings.
• Maintain accurate training records for audit, SBP and compliance reporting.
• Measure training effectiveness through feedback, assessments and performance indicators.
• Oversee the Learning Management System, training calendars, attendance dashboards and reporting.
• Design and run onboarding programs for new hires in branch banking, credit, operations and sales.
• Support leadership development for supervisory, managerial and regional leaders.
• Collaborate with HRBPs, compliance, risk, audit, digital banking and external training partners.

Required profile

• Proven experience in learning and development within the banking or financial services sector.
• Strong analytical skills to conduct needs assessments and link learning outcomes to business impact.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to work with senior leaders.
• Experience managing L&D budgets and delivering cost‑effective learning solutions.

Required skills

• Instructional design and curriculum development.
• Facilitation of classroom, virtual and blended learning.
• Learning Management System (LMS) administration.
• Creation of digital learning content and e‑learning modules.
