Learning & Development Specialist (Manufacturing)

About the role

Haleon is seeking a Learning & Development Specialist to lead the site induction programme, up‑skill technical staff and embed a continuous‑improvement culture across manufacturing, engineering, quality and EHS functions. The role sits within the Operational Excellence team and expands L&D beyond compliance to technical mastery.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver a comprehensive induction system for seamless onboarding.
• Manage the full learning cycle: needs assessment, curriculum development, delivery, compliance tracking and reporting.
• Govern the Site Capability Matrix and HAPS pillar framework.
• Conduct on‑the‑job training to improve machine performance and deploy HAPS tools (AM, PM, PS).
• Create a roadmap for an in‑house Technical Training Academy.
• Maintain training archives in line with GMP and regulatory requirements.
• Innovate training delivery to boost engagement and impact.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of training experience in manufacturing, pharmaceutical or FMCG environments.
• Knowledge of food‑safety, pharmaceutical and OSHA regulations.
• Strong interpersonal and networking abilities for internal communication.
• Experience with IWS, OPEN+, WCM or TPS tools, or participation as an E&T pillar leader/member.
