Maintenance Lead – HSSE Compliance & Team Management

About the role

The Maintenance Lead will oversee operational maintenance across regional service stations, ensuring strict HSSE compliance, effective supplier management, and reliable budget control. This position plays a pivotal role in safeguarding asset integrity while driving proactive service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and validate HSSE compliance for all maintenance activities, ensuring suppliers meet safety standards.
• Manage supplier accreditation, re‑accreditation, and performance monitoring in line with HSSE requirements.
• Supervise the Permit to Work (PTW) system, provide training, and certify supplier personnel.
• Conduct comprehensive asset condition surveys and report findings in operational meetings.
• Develop and execute the annual maintenance planning cycle, controlling budget allocation and spend.
• Analyse financial variances, adjust forecasts, and verify maintenance invoices.
• Coordinate emergency response efforts and maintain accurate asset data in maintenance management systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience in maintenance management within fuel stations or the petroleum industry.
• Strong knowledge of HSSE standards and permit‑to‑work procedures.
• Ability to lead a small team and foster a safety‑first culture.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Analytical mindset for financial forecasting and variance analysis.
