Manager Costing – Pharma Industry

About the role

The company is seeking a Manager Costing to lead costing and inventory functions for a pharmaceutical client. This senior position will be based onsite in Korangi Creek, Karachi, and will work closely with cross‑functional teams to drive profitability and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Manage inventory control using MRP, MOQ, EOQ, FIFO, stock reconciliation and aging analysis.
• Perform product costing, COGS calculation, BOM evaluation, landed‑cost and profitability analysis (GP, break‑even, CVP).
• Develop and maintain standard costing, material and overhead variance analysis.
• Lead budgeting and gross‑profit planning at SKU/brand level.
• Identify cost‑optimization opportunities, conduct make‑or‑buy analysis and improve operational efficiency.
• Appraise projects and evaluate CAPEX using cash‑flow, payback period and other financial metrics.
• Oversee month‑end closing, WIP accounting, inventory reconciliation and financial reporting.

Required profile

• Qualified CA, ACCA or ICMA.
• 7–8 years of relevant experience in costing, inventory management and financial planning.
• Strong background in standard costing, variance analysis and project appraisal.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, IFRS and DRAP regulations.
• Pharmaceutical industry experience is highly preferred.
