Manager (IP Edge Back Office) South

About the role

PTCL Group is looking for a seasoned Manager to lead the IP Edge Back Office team responsible for GPON broadband services. You will ensure the network’s high availability, performance, and scalability while driving continuous optimization.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain IP Edge infrastructure, including BRAS/BNG, edge routers and AAA platforms.
• Oversee subscriber provisioning, policy enforcement, IP address management, network security and SLA compliance.
• Coordinate fault resolution with Core IP, Transmission, NOC and Access teams.
• Lead network upgrades, capacity planning, root‑cause analysis and vendor coordination.
• Document change activities per PIB‑004, maintain work orders and ensure integration with SOC, NOC and logging platforms.
• Proactively monitor tickets, diagnose incidents within 45 minutes and drive operational optimization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical, Electronics or related engineering field.
• 4‑5 years of experience in ISP, data communications or telecom industry.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of IP routing protocols: ISIS, BGP, OSPF, SR, SR‑TE, PIM.
• Expert knowledge of MPLS routing protocols: LDP, RSVP.
• Expert knowledge of Ethernet standards: STP, MSTP, LACP, RSTP.
• Strong background in Switching and VoIP systems.
• Familiarity with GPON, BRAS, BNG and AAA platforms.
