Manager ITRS & FX Regulatory Reporting

About the role

easypaisa digital bank, Pakistan's first digital bank, is looking for a Manager to oversee its International Transactions Reporting System (ITRS) reporting to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). The role ensures timely, accurate and complete reporting of foreign exchange transactions in line with SBP regulations, the Foreign Exchange Manual, ITRS guidelines and other regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the preparation, review, validation and timely submission of ITRS returns to the SBP.
• Ensure accurate classification and reporting of FX transactions under the relevant ITRS schedules and purpose codes.
• Reconcile ITRS data with the general ledger, T24/core banking system, FX blotters, Nostro accounts, SWIFT transactions and other records.
• Investigate and resolve reporting discrepancies, exceptions and unmatched transactions.
• Monitor SBP circulars and regulatory changes and implement them on time.
• Guide Treasury, FX, Remittances, Finance, Operations and IT teams on ITRS reporting requirements.
• Act as focal point for SBP correspondence, queries, observations and regulatory inspections.
• Maintain the mapping of transaction types, purpose codes, currencies, countries and other reporting fields.
• Coordinate with IT and vendors on automation, system enhancements and UAT, and resolve audit and regulatory observations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics or Business Administration; professional qualification such as ACMA, CA, ACCA or MBA preferred.
• 3-5 years of relevant banking experience, preferably in Treasury Operations, FX Operations, Regulatory Reporting or Remittances.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience in ITRS/FX reporting or a related function.
• Strong practical knowledge of SBP Foreign Exchange Regulations, the Foreign Exchange Manual and ITRS requirements.

Required skills

• Knowledge of SWIFT MT/MX and core banking systems, preferably T24.
• Advanced MS Excel and reporting skills.
• Good understanding of FX transactions, settlement and Nostro operations.
• Strong reconciliation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, including coordination with SBP, auditors, Compliance, IT and business teams.
