Manufacturing Excellence, Safety & Environment Associate

About the role

The Manufacturing Excellence, Safety & Environment Associate supports the implementation of Nestlé’s Manufacturing Excellence roadmap and Safety & Environment systems at the Port Qasim Factory. The role focuses on performance reporting, continuous improvement, compliance management and risk reduction to help achieve zero accidents, zero environmental incidents and zero waste.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate monthly reporting of Manufacturing Excellence, Safety and Environment KPIs, ensuring data accuracy and timely submission.
• Support factory operational reviews by preparing performance presentations, action trackers and improvement updates.
• Assist in deploying improvement methodologies such as DMAIC, GSTD, SMED and other problem‑solving tools.
• Maintain pillar structures, competence development plans and readiness for maturity assessments.
• Participate in safety and environmental risk assessments, incident investigations and follow‑up of corrective actions.
• Monitor compliance with legal requirements, Nestlé standards, permits and mandatory inspections.
• Track environmental performance related to water, energy, waste and wastewater initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Occupational Safety & Health or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing systems, continuous improvement methodologies and operational performance indicators.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental management systems, risk assessment, incident investigation and legal compliance.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is an advantage.
