Medical Coder

About the role

Sequel Technologies, a software company providing healthcare IT and medical billing services to the US market, is hiring a Medical Coder based in Bahria Town Phase 7, Rawalpindi. Preference is given to residents of Bahria, DHA or nearby areas. The shift runs from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM in summer and from 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM in winter.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure codes are sequenced correctly according to government and insurance regulations.
• Ensure medical records are filed and processed accurately.
• Analyse medical records and identify documentation deficiencies.
• Identify diagnostic and procedural information.
• Work with coding software.

Required profile

• Proven work experience as a medical coder or in a similar role; 2+ years of experience as a medical coder.
• Degree in PharmD, BSN, DPT or a medical health sciences-related degree.
• Certified professional coder.
• Knowledge of multiple specialties.

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with multiple EHRs.
• Ability to use coding software such as Codify and 3M.
