Multi-Vendor Telecom Datacom Planning Engineer / Team Lead

About the role

Huawei seeks experienced Multi‑Vendor Telecom Datacom Planning Engineers and Team Leads to drive network design and delivery across Pakistan. The role involves leading a team of planners, overseeing high‑level and detailed designs, and ensuring project milestones are met.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Datacom planning engineers to deliver network designs on schedule.
• Oversee HLD and LLD creation for metro, regional and long‑haul IP/MPLS networks.
• Analyze traffic patterns, perform link‑budget calculations and forecast bandwidth demand.
• Manage CapEx planning, budget forecasting, BOM preparation, RFPs and technical tender evaluations.
• Coordinate with equipment vendors, contractors and internal departments.

Required profile

• B.E./B.Sc. in Electrical, Electronics, Telecom Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years experience for Junior Engineer, 7+ years for Senior Engineer, 8–15+ years for Team Lead.
• Strong analytical thinking, project management and vendor negotiation skills.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Huawei (NE, CX, ATN), Cisco, Juniper, Nokia or ZTE IP systems.
• Multi‑vendor IP network integration and design (IP/MPLS, SR, BGP, OSPF, ISIS).
• Link‑budget analysis, optical protection schemes, NMS platforms and routing/MPLS integration.
