Part‑time Psychiatrist for Addiction Rehabilitation

About the role

The Psychiatrist will join Sun Shine Rehabilitation Welfare Center on a part‑time basis to provide on‑site clinical services for patients recovering from substance use disorders. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, the role focuses on delivering comprehensive psychiatric care within a holistic rehabilitation framework.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric assessments and diagnose co‑occurring mental health conditions.
• Develop, update, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe and oversee psychotropic medication in coordination with the medical team.
• Provide individual and group psychiatric consultations.
• Collaborate with psychologists, counselors, and other health professionals to ensure integrated care.
• Participate in case discussions, crisis management guidance, and staff training on mental health and addiction.
• Contribute to the development of evidence‑based protocols supporting patient safety, recovery, and relapse prevention.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with specialization in Psychiatry and a valid professional license.
• Strong foundation in managing complex addiction‑related cases.
• Demonstrated competence in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of co‑occurring disorders.
• Experience or training in adolescent and adult psychiatry, preferably within substance‑use or rehabilitation settings.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.
• Commitment to ethical, non‑judgmental, trauma‑informed, and culturally sensitive care.
• Excellent documentation, time‑management, and organizational skills.
