Procurement, Logistics & Fleet Officer

About the role

The Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) is recruiting one Procurement, Logistics & Fleet Officer for its merged areas headquarters in Peshawar. The post reports to the Program Manager and covers procurement, service contracts, logistics, travel arrangements, field training and workshop support, and fleet management of MAHQ and field vehicles. The project lasts 5.5 months and ends on 1 November 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Procurement Officer: ensure sub-contracts, consultant and service contracts and purchase orders comply with PRCS procurement policy, identify vendors for leases, utilities, furniture, equipment and supplies, and prepare RFQs, quotations, comparative statements and purchase orders.
• Review incoming requests for clarity of specifications, confirm details and coordinate reviews of project purchases.
• Maintain transaction records, an asset register with proper tagging, and a record of all assets and equipment, including asset disposal.
• Plan procurement, manage inventory, pack and crate goods, and oversee storage and warehousing.
• Track, receive and stock items, plan final inventory before shipment, and carry out monthly and quarterly field inspections of office and project assets.
• Manage the fleet: keep vehicles roadworthy, track fuel consumption and process monthly fuel bills.
• Prepare monthly purchase plans, update vendor databases and catalogues, and perform other tasks assigned by management.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, accountability or humanitarian program support; preferred experience in humanitarian program settings.
• Knowledge of report writing and knowledge management.
• Commitment to humanitarian principles and PRCS values, with flexibility to work under pressure and to take on additional duties.
• Willingness to travel extensively to field locations; maximum age limit of 45 years.
