Quantity Surveyor / Estimation Engineer - Civil & Interior

About the role

Precise Interior & Construction is seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor / Estimation Engineer specializing in civil and interior construction projects in Lahore. The role covers quantity takeoffs, bills of quantities (BOQ) and cost estimations from architectural, civil and interior drawings, and includes managing quotations, interim payment certificates, running bills and final billing. It also involves leading a small team of two people in cost estimation and project billing.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and detailed BOQs from civil, architectural and interior drawings to support bidding and cost control.
• Develop cost estimates and project quotations including materials, labour and overheads.
• Generate interim payment certificates, running bills and final bills in line with contracts.
• Verify contractor, subcontractor and vendor invoices against measurements and agreed rates.
• Conduct rate analysis and keep material and labour cost databases up to date.
• Measure completed works on site and assess variations and additional works.
• Coordinate with site management and procurement teams on costing, billing and budget tracking.
• Lead and supervise a team of two people, improving estimation quality and project delivery.
• Use Microsoft Excel and estimation software such as PlanSwift for cost reports and schedules of rates.
• Maintain documentation of estimation and billing, support tender preparation and bid evaluation, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Required profile

• Minimum of four years of relevant experience.
• Ability to balance technical knowledge with practical project management in a structured environment.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Estimation software such as PlanSwift.
• Rate analysis and BOQ preparation.
