Reconciliation & Settlement Officer (RAASt, 1-Link)

About the role

The role manages the end-to-end transaction cycle, ensuring accurate financial entries and coordinating with 1-Link and the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). It requires a solid grasp of the digital payment landscape in Pakistan, specifically the RAASt and 1-Link platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Handle daily settlements for RAASt P2P and 1-Link (Paypak, ATM, IBFT, bill payments) with zero lag.
• Perform daily reconciliation of internal systems with clearing reports from 1-Link and the SBP RAASt portal.
• Maintain a deep understanding of the transaction lifecycle to identify and resolve stuck or failed payments.
• Use core banking and payment systems to monitor real-time settlement flows.
• Prepare accurate accounting entries and generate Bank Payment/Receipt vouchers and journal vouchers for all settlement activities.
• Manage the clearing process and ensure timely transfers for high-value interbank settlements.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve settlement discrepancies and follow up on outstanding items.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance or a related field (mandatory); Master's degree preferred.
• Currently working in a Settlement & Reconciliation role, preferably in a bank, EMI or microfinance bank.
• Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, account entries and voucher preparation.

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with RAASt, 1-Link and RTGS/clearing processes.
• Knowledge of the digital payment landscape in Pakistan.
