Remote Video Editor

About the role

A UK tech company is hiring a full-time, permanent remote Video Editor. The editor handles video content across several brands and works directly with the founder. The schedule is Monday to Friday, with at least 4 hours overlapping UK working hours on a morning shift.

Key responsibilities

• Edit short-form reels for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and LinkedIn
• Edit face-to-camera and talking-head videos
• Edit full podcast episodes and cut them into short clips
• Create simple motion graphics and app animations in After Effects

Required profile

• 3+ years of editing experience
• Strong short-form editing skills, including hooks, captions, pacing and sound
• Good English and good written communication
• Responsive to feedback and able to manage deadlines reliably in a remote workflow
• Portfolio or showreel of completed video-editing projects

Required skills

• Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve; Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve and After Effects are required
• Understanding of narrative structure, pacing, continuity, shot selection and visual storytelling
• Audio cleaning and balancing, music selection and sound-picture sync
• Titles, captions, transitions, basic motion graphics and colour correction
• Exporting video in suitable formats, resolutions and aspect ratios
• Media and project-file management with backups and version control
