About the role
The Repair and Maintenance Specialist – Wireline leads the workshop and laboratory activities for wireline electronic tools, ensuring safe, efficient and timely repair, testing, calibration and qualification. The role provides technical leadership, manages workflow, and drives continuous improvement to reduce cycle time and increase equipment reliability.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the Wireline Electronic Tools Repair & Maintenance workshop/lab, prioritising repair orders to meet operational targets.
- Conduct troubleshooting, failure investigations and Root Cause Analysis for complex or recurring tool failures.
- Implement and monitor operational control plans and continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance repair efficiency and quality.
- Perform and supervise preventive, corrective maintenance, testing, calibration, modification and qualification of wireline tools.
- Assess team competencies, identify skill gaps and provide technical coaching and development.
- Maintain accurate work orders, repair records, test results and equipment history while ensuring compliance with company procedures, quality standards and HSE policies.
Required profile
- Minimum Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical or related field; BTECH preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in wireline electronic tools repair and maintenance within the oil & gas industry.
- Proven experience in leading technical investigations, RCA and workshop coordination.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with maintenance and work‑order management systems.

- Knowledge of electronic components, circuits, test equipment, communication and data acquisition systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical/electronic schematics and technical drawings.

- Work‑order management and operational control planning.
- Safe handling of electrical/electronic equipment in hazardous‑area environments (ATEX, NDT/NDE, HSE).
