Research Assistant

About the role

The Research Assistant will support Ahmad Law Associates' legal team by conducting thorough case‑related research, reviewing legislation, regulations and case law, and preparing concise research briefs and summaries. This full‑time, on‑site position requires close collaboration with attorneys and other staff to meet case deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct legal research using statutes, case law, academic sources and online databases.
• Review and analyse legislation, regulations and relevant precedents.
• Prepare concise research briefs, summaries and memos for attorneys.
• Organise, analyse and maintain accurate records of legal documents and research sources.
• Collaborate with attorneys to identify factual information and relevant precedents.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure timely delivery of research deliverables.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and data‑analysis abilities to interpret legal information.
• Excellent research skills with the ability to gather, evaluate and synthesize legal materials.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for preparing summaries and internal collaboration.
• Bachelor’s degree (or final‑year student) in Law, Legal Studies, Political Science or a related field; advanced legal education is a plus.
• Prior internship or experience in a law firm, legal clinic or research environment is preferred.
• High attention to detail, ability to work under deadlines and commitment to confidentiality.
