About the role
A firm based in Lahore is looking for a Semi Senior Accountant to support its UK-based practice. The role combines client-facing, hands-on accounting work with operational and leadership experience, preparing the holder for a future team-management position. UK accounting standards and practices are required.
Key responsibilities
- Complete year-end accounts, CT600, Corporation Tax computations and Self-Assessment Tax Returns for a portfolio of clients
- Support a team of Accountants and a Team Manager in delivering the agreed level of service
- Train, coach and mentor apprentices and Junior Accountants
- Carry out quality control and file reviews of colleagues
- Prepare accounts, VAT returns, corporation tax and Self-Assessment Tax Returns
Required profile
- 1-2 years of experience in a UK-based accountancy practice (UK experience is a must)
- Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Ability to work UK working hours, 9 am to 5 pm UK time
