Senior Accountant - Canada Tax

About the role

Bestax is a leading accounting, tax, audit, and business setup firm with operations in Dubai and Canada, serving businesses across the UAE, Canada, and beyond. The Senior Accountant will handle Canadian corporate and personal tax filings and support clients with GST/HST, payroll taxes and basic tax planning.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file corporate (T2) and personal (T1) tax returns.
• Assist with GST/HST filings, payroll taxes, and other routine submissions.
• Support basic tax planning to help reduce tax liabilities.
• Stay updated with Canadian tax rules and regulations.
• Review financial data to ensure accurate tax calculations.
• Handle basic tax notices and communicate with authorities when needed.
• Maintain bookkeeping records and prepare financial reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3‑4 years of experience in Canadian taxation & accounting.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian tax laws, CRA regulations, and compliance.
• Experience with T1, T2, GST/HST, and payroll tax filings.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and attention to detail skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
• Strong communication skills in English (written & verbal).
