Senior Accounts & Finance Executive (VAT Experience)

About the role

Ibtdara, a business accelerator supporting startups and established businesses with business development, strategy, digital transformation, funding support, market research and expansion, is looking for an experienced Senior Accounts & Finance Executive to manage its day-to-day accounting and financial operations. The role calls for independent handling of core accounting functions and accurate, well-organized financial records.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting and financial operations
• Handle VAT calculations, VAT records and tax reconciliations
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoices, payments, collections and follow-ups
• Prepare and maintain financial records, ledgers and reconciliations
• Manage payroll processing, employee payments and reimbursements
• Monitor cash flow, payments and cash requirements
• Prepare invoices, quotations, financial statements, reports and management summaries
• Handle tax filings, compliance requirements and supporting documentation
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• Coordinate with auditors when required, identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 3+ years of hands-on accounting and finance experience
• Experience managing end-to-end accounting and financial operations
• Strong English communication skills
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and handle confidential financial information

Required skills

• VAT, taxation and tax reconciliation
• Accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations and cash-flow management
• Financial reporting and accounting principles
• Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero
