Senior Associate, Compliance Operations

About the role

MGN Pak is hiring a Senior Associate for its Compliance Operations team (RCU, Operations Group, PAKCOE). The role safeguards the bank's interests by screening incoming and outgoing payment messages against worldwide anti-money laundering (AML) and compliance policies, and by ensuring regulatory requirements are met.

Key responsibilities

• Review payment alerts generated in the Fircosoft system and move payment transactions to the checker/compliance queue with the appropriate screening decisions.
• Monitor and control all control activities and meet the bank's and regulators' requirements.
• Keep the Fircosoft system running so transactions are cleared from the maker queue by the specified cutoffs.
• Complete the daily control and functional checklist (DCFC) every day.
• Identify possible issues on products at CPC/IBG in line with the bank's compliance policy and stay up to date on legal, statutory and regulatory changes.
• Complete mandatory courses and assignments to strengthen understanding of compliance requirements.
• Review and release Fircosoft alerts with high-quality processing, ensuring all transactions follow SOPs and bank policy within agreed turnaround times and with zero errors.

Required profile

• 2-4 years of experience in banking operations, including hands-on checker work.
• Expertise in interpreting banking regulations, laws and AML regulations.
• Good working knowledge of Swift and Mashreq processes and systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
