Senior Financial Accountant (UK Accounting)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our Lahore‑based team and support our UK accountancy practice. The successful candidate will manage bookkeeping, prepare statutory financial statements, handle VAT returns and provide overall accounting support for UK‑based clients.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records for UK clients using Xero, QuickBooks or Sage.
• Prepare and review statutory financial statements in line with UK standards (FRS 102, FRS 105).
• Prepare and submit VAT returns complying with HMRC and Making Tax Digital requirements.
• Manage multiple client accounts, ensuring all reporting and compliance deadlines are met.
• Communicate directly with UK clients to gather information, resolve queries and provide professional support.
• Lead year‑end procedures, audits and preparation of working papers.
• Review bookkeeping for discrepancies and advise junior team members.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting or UK accountancy practice.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; ACCA qualification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and VAT regulations.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple clients and meet strict deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Xero, QuickBooks and Sage accounting software.
• Knowledge of UK accounting standards (FRS 102, FRS 105).
• Experience with UK VAT, HMRC requirements and Making Tax Digital (MTD).
