Senior Manager - Assurance IFRS Accounting Services

About the role

PwC's Assurance-IFRS Accounting Services team is expanding and is looking for a Senior Manager in Karachi. The team supports audit teams and clients in solving complex accounting issues through deep technical knowledge of accounting standards, policies and the evolving financial reporting landscape. The role is senior management level, with increasing autonomy and responsibility for coaching and leading others.

Key responsibilities

• Help clients and engagement teams understand accounting and financial reporting complexities through expert guidance and advice.
• Lead training, present at internal and external conferences, develop thought leadership and contribute to team initiatives to build a reputation as a subject matter expert.
• Develop deep technical knowledge of accounting standards, policies and the regulatory landscape.
• Build networks within the Global Corporate Reporting Services network to stay up to date on industry issues affecting clients and engagement teams.

Required profile

• ACA (ICAP) or foreign equivalent qualification.
• At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in a professional services firm, including 2 years (preferred) in a technical accounting role.
• Experience in audits of financial services is an added advantage.
