Senior Manager, International Tax Advisory (Transaction Tax M&A)

About the role

EY is hiring a Senior Manager for its International Tax & Transaction Services (ITTS) practice in the Karachi office, supporting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) market. The role focuses on Transaction Tax Advisory (M&A) and advises clients on the regional and international tax implications of acquisitions, disposals, refinancing, restructurings and initial public offerings.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technically complex international and transaction tax engagements with high technical and practical quality.
• Advise clients on tax due diligence, permanent establishment, double taxation, cross-border treaties, tax structuring, corporate tax impact assessments, withholding tax and similar matters.
• Manage leads and opportunities from other parts of the tax practice and the wider EY network.
• Contribute to the development of the practice through internal training, precedents, sharing of know-how, team and firm events, presentations and expert articles.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Tax, Economics, Accounting or Finance, or an approved professional qualification such as ACCA, CA, CPA, ATT or ADIT.
• 8 years or more of client-facing tax advisory experience.
• Experience managing a team and/or mentoring junior team members.
• Ideally: broad exposure to transaction tax or international taxation, especially inbound and outbound investment, and any experience with KSA tax regulations.
