Senior Shopify Theme Developer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Shopify Theme Developer to lead a full redesign and modernization of our Shopify store. This project‑focused role requires deep expertise in theme architecture, performance optimization, and conversion rate optimization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end rebuild of the Shopify theme, from architecture to deployment and post‑launch support.
• Audit current site performance, identify bottlenecks, and improve Lighthouse scores, Core Web Vitals, and load times.
• Implement complex product functionality such as bundle offers, dynamic pricing, and custom cart/checkout features.
• Optimize assets, CSS/JS, and images for speed and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with design, product, QA, and marketing teams to test, iterate, and safely deploy changes.
• Ensure code quality, stability, and maintainability after launch.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional Shopify development experience, with at least 3 years leading full theme rebuilds.
• Strong front‑end development background and a CRO mindset.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Liquid templating and Shopify APIs (Storefront, Admin, Theme).
• Shopify CLI and GitHub integration.
• HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/ES6+, responsive design.
• Core Web Vitals, lazy loading, asset optimization, image compression, code splitting.
• Implementation of bundles, dynamic pricing, custom cart/checkout logic.
• Version control with Git and code review workflows.
