Senior Software QA Engineer (Automation)

About the role

Aqovia, an international technology firm building AI, data and bespoke software solutions, is looking for an automation Senior Software QA Engineer to join its agile development team. You will work within an AI-centric SDLC and STLC, driving quality across internal products and client-facing applications. The role suits someone strong in functional testing who wants to grow in automation, DevOps and modern testing workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain end-to-end test suites using JavaScript or C#
• Perform functional, exploratory and performance testing on UI, RESTful APIs and databases
• Work with developers and product teams to define acceptance criteria, test plans and system architecture
• Use modern testing methods and AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency and bug discovery
• Manage test environments, test data, release processes and software merges
• Take part in standups, retrospectives and 3-Amigos sessions

Required profile

• Proven agile QA background with experience in an AI-centric SDLC/STLC
• Natural knack for debugging and writing clear, actionable bug reports
• Ability to manage rapid iteration cycles while keeping quality standards high
• Exceptional verbal and written English
• Nice to have: familiarity with AI-assisted dev/test tools such as GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT

Required skills

• Test automation frameworks: Playwright, Selenium
• API testing with Insomnia/Postman and OpenAPI/Swagger; SQL database querying
• Cloud (Azure), Git, JMeter and Windows/Unix scripting exposure
