Senior System Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior System Engineer to join our on‑site team in Lahore. You will be responsible for the design, deployment, and ongoing support of both Windows and Linux server environments, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL) platforms.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, file services and IIS web servers.
• Administer virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere/ESXi and Hyper‑V, including VM provisioning, snapshots and capacity planning.
• Implement server hardening, patching, backup, disaster‑recovery testing and security compliance.
• Monitor system health using tools like Zabbix, PRTG, Nagios or Grafana and resolve incidents promptly.
• Develop automation scripts in PowerShell and Bash to streamline routine tasks.
• Document procedures, SOPs and system diagrams, and contribute to infrastructure improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of hands‑on experience in Windows and Linux server administration.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across OS, network and application layers.
• Experience with virtualization, backup solutions and security hardening.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, VLANs, routing).
