About the role
The Senior Territory Sales Manager will lead a team of distributors and field sales representatives in Islamabad, implementing company strategies to grow market share across multiple FMCG categories. The role focuses on achieving volume targets, optimizing brand and pack performance, and ensuring high‑quality execution at distributor outlets.
Key responsibilities
- Set SMART objectives aligned with the Annual Operating Plan and cascade them to the territory team.
- Analyze category development potential and create plans to increase share for each product line.
- Drive monthly and quarterly volume targets, monitor brand and pack deliverables.
- Review progress in weekly meetings, take corrective actions, and ensure accurate financial and sales reporting.
- Manage trade discounts, monitor distributor ROI, and propose profitability improvements.
- Implement quality controls at distributor outlets (FIFO, stock levels) and track depot sales.
- Identify untapped channels, new towns, and optimal rack productivity to boost market share.
- Conduct market intelligence, competitor analysis, and develop counter‑strategies.
- Lead field training, core skills assessments, and coaching to enhance team capability.
Required profile
- 3‑5 years of field sales experience in the FMCG sector.
- Strong leadership, people‑management and problem‑solving abilities.
- MBA or Master’s degree in Marketing, Sales or related field preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask and work with urgency.
Required skills
- Proficient use of Microsoft Excel.
- Proficient use of Microsoft PowerPoint.
- General proficiency with MS Office suite.
