Shariah Expert – Islamic Banking (3-5 yrs Experience)

About the role
UBL is seeking qualified Shariah professionals to strengthen its Shariah governance framework. The successful candidate will work closely with banking teams to ensure compliance with Islamic finance principles and regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities
- Enhance Shariah controls across the bank’s operations.
- Provide Shariah advisory support to corporate, SME, and trade finance products.
- Interpret and apply AAOIFI standards and SBP Islamic banking regulations.
Required profile
- 3–5 years of experience in Islamic Banking, Shariah Advisory, or related banking functions.
- Degree in Islamic Finance/Shari'ah plus a conventional finance, commerce, or business degree.
- Strong grounding in Fiqh al‑Muamalat and key Islamic finance contracts.
- Practical understanding of corporate/SME banking products, credit processes, or trade finance.
