Static Equipment Design Engineer

About the role

The Static Equipment Design Engineer will be responsible for engineering design and analysis of static equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, and piping components. The role involves preparing calculations, specifications, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes while collaborating closely with project teams and vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare design calculations and develop detailed specifications for static equipment.
• Review engineering drawings and ensure designs meet ASME, API, or comparable international standards.
• Coordinate with project teams, vendors, and fabrication shops to resolve technical queries.
• Participate in design reviews and produce technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support procurement and manufacturing activities and conduct quality and safety checks.

Required profile

• Ability to perform mechanical design and stress analysis of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, and piping components.
• Familiarity with relevant design codes and standards (ASME, API, etc.) and their practical application.
• Proficiency with engineering and drafting software commonly used for equipment design.
• Strong technical documentation skills, including preparing specifications and design reports.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities for multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
