About the role
The Supervisor will oversee the Fresh Dairy, Bakery and Café sections, ensuring product quality, shelf presentation, and compliance with hygiene standards. This role involves managing stock, coordinating with QA, and supporting promotional activities.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor expiry dates and ensure proper product rotation.
- Update rail cards and signage as required.
- Maintain presentable, fully stocked shelves.
- Enter repacking data into the GMS system promptly.
- Conduct weekly MAV calculations for bakery production.
- Process stock orders with appropriate documentation.
- Participate in weekly and annual inventory counts.
- Implement corrective and preventive measures to control waste and shrinkage.
- Address QA issues from periodic inspections.
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of bakery and production areas and equipment.
- Monitor negative trends and take action.
- Conduct free sampling for high‑priced product promotions.
- Suggest new bakery recipes to boost sales and meet customer needs.
