Support Specialist – Compute Hardware Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Support Specialist to join our technical operations team in Islamabad. You will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on a wide range of compute hardware, ensuring high availability for internal and external users.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair desktops, laptops, servers, storage arrays and related peripherals.
• Carry out preventive maintenance, firmware updates and component replacements such as RAM, HDD/SSD, power supplies, motherboards and GPUs.
• Manage hardware asset lifecycle, including inventory tracking, warranty coordination and decommissioning.
• Perform server rack installations, cable management and data‑center hardware deployments.

Required profile

• CompTIA A+ certification.
• 1–5 years of experience in desktop support, hardware repair or IT technician roles.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and excellent communication with a customer‑service focus.

Required skills

• Hardware diagnostics.

• BIOS/UEFI configuration.
• Basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
• Firmware updates and component replacement (RAM, HDD/SSD, power supplies, motherboards, GPUs).
