Team Leader, Risk System and Modeling

About the role

The Bank of Punjab is seeking an experienced Team Leader to head its Risk System and Modeling function within the Enterprise Risk Management Division. This senior position will guide the development, validation, and maintenance of credit risk models in line with regulatory and IFRS 9 requirements, supporting the bank’s strategic risk management objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop PD, LGD, EAD, and CCF models using statistical methodologies and diverse data sources.
• Design credit risk rating models and behavioral scorecards for multiple business segments.
• Assist the Head of IRM in recalibrating risk parameters and macro‑economic regression models.
• Implement end‑to‑end IFRS 9 Expected Credit Loss (ECL) model engine solutions.
• Validate model assumptions, conduct back‑testing, benchmarking, and continuous improvement analyses.
• Maintain and update policies and procedures for internal credit risk rating frameworks and IFRS 9 compliance.
• Provide supervision, monitoring, and enhancements for the existing Loan Origination System (LOS).

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree from an HEC‑recognized university; Master’s degree preferred.
• 7‑9 years of banking or non‑banking experience, with at least 4 years in credit risk modeling.
• Age up to 55 years as of May 26, 2026.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work independently and lead a team.

Required skills

• Statistical modeling and quantitative analysis.
• Credit risk model development (PD, LGD, EAD, CCF).
• IFRS 9 ECL modeling and implementation.
• Model validation, back‑testing, and benchmarking.
• Experience with Loan Origination Systems.
