Team Leader – Utilities (Industrial Services)

About the role

The Team Leader Utilities will oversee the operation and maintenance of all industrial services at the Kabirwala Factory, ensuring high efficiency, reliability, and compliance with safety and environmental standards. This role drives continuous improvement, asset management, and team capability building to support production needs.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design, modify, and improve plant equipment, utilities, and infrastructure.
• Lead day‑to‑day operations to optimise water, energy, and overall utility performance.
• Assist with budgeting, cost monitoring, and financial reporting for utilities.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance to achieve 100% availability.
• Analyse breakdowns using RCA and DMAIC, implementing permanent corrective actions.
• Manage quality, environmental, and regulatory compliance for all utilities.
• Support competence‑building plans and technical training for the operations team.
• Conduct safety inspections and audits, ensuring safe design and operation.
• Identify and drive energy‑ and water‑saving initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial services engineering, operations, and maintenance, preferably in food manufacturing.
• Hands‑on experience with steam and ammonia systems.
• Proven supervision skills for operations, maintenance teams, contractors or third parties.
• Experience with system design, erection, commissioning, and support.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities using RCA and DMAIC.
• Effective communication and leadership capabilities.
