Upwork Bidder – Generate New Business on Freelance Platforms

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Upwork Bidder to create new business opportunities on Upwork and other freelancing platforms. The role involves finding relevant projects, crafting winning proposals, and nurturing client relationships until the project is secured.

Key responsibilities

• Search for and bid on suitable projects across Upwork and similar platforms.
• Write professional, persuasive proposals that increase win rates.
• Communicate effectively with international clients throughout the bidding process.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand the client base.
• Maintain ongoing communication with prospects until project conversion.
• Coordinate with internal teams to gather project requirements and ensure accurate proposals.

Required profile

• Strong English communication and writing abilities.
• Proven proposal writing and client‑handling skills.
• Good understanding of Upwork and other freelancing marketplaces.
• Ability to identify, qualify, and bid on relevant projects.
• Knowledge of lead generation and basic business development concepts.
• Effective negotiation and confidence when dealing with international clients.
• Basic familiarity with IT/software services.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and meet targets.
• Excellent time‑management and organizational skills.
