1st Line IT Support

About the role

Join the Global Service Desk at u-blox and provide first‑line IT support to users worldwide. You will investigate and resolve hardware and software issues, ensuring every interaction is logged in the ITSM tool.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve user requests and incidents as part of a global team.
• Manage the unassigned ticket queue and adhere to SLAs and KPIs.
• Serve as the primary IT contact for local site colleagues.
• Investigate and fix hardware and software problems on‑site and remotely.
• Maintain the IT support knowledge base and SOP library.
• Deploy, document, support and de‑commission client hardware and assets.
• Provide onboarding IT support for new joiners across sites.
• Assist with local office IT infrastructure maintenance and project tasks.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in a service support team.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work energetically, stay organized and manage time effectively.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Windows 11 operating system.
• Microsoft 365 suite.
• Jira or similar help‑desk ticketing system.
• Basic networking concepts.
• IT security fundamentals.
• Linux environment support.
• Hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM) tools (optional).
