Accountant cum Compliance Officer – UAE Operations

About the role

This mid-level position reports to the Finance/Accounts Manager and covers accounting, financial reporting and tax and corporate compliance for UAE operations. The role is handled independently under the manager's supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounts, reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and intercompany records.
• Support monthly and annual closing, IFRS-based financial statements and management reporting.
• Handle UAE VAT and Corporate Tax calculations, returns, documentation and deadlines.
• Coordinate company registrations, licence renewals, corporate amendments and restructuring, including Sole Establishment to LLC conversion.
• Manage UAE bank account opening documentation, KYC/AML requirements and compliance queries.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, authorities and corporate service providers.
• Maintain financial and corporate records and monitor regulatory changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CA/CAF or equivalent preferred.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year of hands-on UAE tax and corporate compliance experience.
• Experience with UAE banks, authorities or corporate service providers is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication and coordination skills, with attention to accuracy, confidentiality and deadlines.

• Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.
