Accountant

About the role

International Business Resources is looking for an Accountant based in Karachi to support accurate financial recordkeeping and reliable reporting for its business operations. The role suits a detail-oriented professional who can manage routine accounting activities, keep documentation organised and meet reporting deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Record and reconcile transactions, journal entries and general ledger accounts.
• Prepare periodic financial statements, management reports and account schedules.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, verify supporting documents and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Assist with cash-flow tracking and month-end and year-end closing.
• Maintain accounting records in line with company policies and statutory requirements.
• Work with colleagues to provide timely, accurate financial information and ensure transactions are properly documented.

Required profile

• Working knowledge of bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance and double-entry accounting.
• Ability to reconcile bank, vendor, customer and control accounts and investigate variances.
• Experience preparing financial statements, account schedules and periodic reports.
• Proven expertise in QuickBooks and MS is mandatory.
