Accounting Assistant

About the role

Mobiz, a Microsoft Solutions Partner, is hiring an Accounting Assistant to support its growing finance team in Karachi. The role covers core finance operations such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, billing and general administration, within a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Accounts Payable: enter vendor and contractor invoices in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, match them to purchase orders, timesheets and approvals, and route exceptions; manage AP requests through ServiceNow tickets; prepare weekly vendor payment runs (ACH, check, wire); enter credit card transactions and employee reimbursements; collect W-9/W-8 forms, maintain vendor master data and support year-end 1099 preparation; reconcile vendor statements and investigate open or disputed balances.
• Accounts Receivable: prepare and send customer invoices, credits and delivery documents; apply payments (ACH, wire, check) in Business Central; monitor AR aging and follow up on past-due accounts; resolve short payments, unapplied cash and billing discrepancies; maintain customer records and support month-end close.
• Customer and vendor communication: respond to calls and emails and provide professional support on payment inquiries and account issues.
• General support: perform additional administrative or operational tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 1-2 years of relevant professional experience.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, prioritization and time management, able to handle multiple tasks at once.
• Communication, problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills, with a proactive, respectful approach.
• Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively, with integrity, confidentiality and a positive attitude.
