Accounts Manager

About the role

HBCS is looking for an experienced Accounts Manager to lead the entire Accounts Department and serve as the primary contact for UAE‑based clients. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations, and drive continuous improvement of accounting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop the Accounts Department, supervising junior accountants.
• Report financial performance and operations directly to the CEO.
• Serve as the main point of contact for a portfolio of UAE clients, collecting accounting data and documentation.
• Handle UAE VAT and Corporate Tax matters, including registration, filing and compliance via the FTA portal.
• Oversee bookkeeping, reconciliations, financial reporting and preparation of IFRS for SMEs statements.
• Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes.
• Develop and implement SOPs, improve workflows and ensure all statutory deadlines are met.

Required profile

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience managing an accounts team, preferably within a UAE‑based accounting firm.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax and FTA regulations.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CA or MBA in Finance.
• Excellent English communication; Arabic is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Odoo, Zoho Books and QuickBooks Online.
