Accounts Officer (BPS-18)

About the role

The Sheikh Zayed Post Graduate Medical Institute Lahore is seeking an Accounts Officer (BPS-18) to join its finance team on a regular basis. The successful candidate will oversee the institute’s financial records, ensure compliance with government accounting rules, and support budgeting and audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage institutional accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare budgets, financial statements, and audit reports.
• Supervise accounts staff and oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations.
• Ensure compliance with government financial policies and procedures.
• Track and report expenditures, coordinating with auditors and relevant departments.

Required profile

• M.Com (2 years) with at least 3 years of experience in accountancy, or B.Com (2 years) with 4–6 years of experience as Superintendent Accounts.
• Strong command of financial accounting and reporting.
• Knowledge of government accounting procedures is preferred.
• Good analytical and management abilities.
